Probably not a shock to anybody watching Wimbledon. The most highly anticipated match of the year!
So weigh in one more time before Sunday... Federer goes for a record sixth straight while Nadal tries to become the first since Borg to take the French and the Champioships back to back.
Who do you think wins and more importantly, why?

Roger will win this one because he lost to Nadal the last time they played and he WILL not let this occur again.

Nadal will win Wimbledon 2008 . The way both player are performing in the last six months , show how scare is Roger when facing Nadal. Nadal is in Roger head and that is killing Roger. Nadal in 3 sets. 6-4 6-3 and 6-3

Rafa owns everybody on dirt including #1 Roger - that was last month - this is fast grass and I believe Federer in 4 possibly 5 sets.

Nadal in straight sets, huh? I'll tell you what -- my entire bank account (granted, it ain't much. lol) says otherwise. Absolutely no way that happens. NONE! Roger Federer will win his sixth straight because he is the better tennis player. That's a hard truth for you Nadal fans, but a truth nonetheless. One match every year doesn't change that. And I highly doubt Roger is afraid of ANYBODY. But look on the bright side -- maybe if Roger wins they will slow the courts down even more?! They couldn't do it to Pete so maybe they'll get Fed. I just want to see some good tennis Sunday. And honestly I am REALLY looking forward to the US Open as well. Simply the best tennis in the world. And the way Nadal and Fed are playing -- who knows. But Rafa has to get there first. And he'll need to be healthy to do it. And watch out for Mr. Safin -- he has the game to beat every player on the tour. As for the women -- not a fan right now. Honestly, I think the Williams sisters are a joke -- at least compared to what they were supposed to be -- the greatest two players in the history of the universe. Where is Steffi???

How are the william's sisters a joke even in that sense? I find it amazing that they are able to not only each reach the finals in singles but also reach the finals together in doubles. Doubles and singles have to be played very differently and being able to have success at both at the same time is pure skill. It would be like if the Bryan brothers each reached at least the semi finals in wimbledon, but they didnt even attempt it because of how different it is.

Who have the Williams sisters ever beat? Capriati at the end of her career -- wow! a hurting Kim Clijsters? Davenport? Please! They were losing matches to Steffi when she retired and then they were losing to players like Mauresmo for awhile. Not to mention Henin was starting to beat them both! Neither has had one long run at #1 in their career and both of them fade, quit, or fake an unjury when they are being truly challenged. And then they make excuses after the match. I'll give you just 2 quotes that I have ON TAPE, live TV: #1 Serena after losing in the US Open to Henin (07): "Well, basically when I play it has nothing to do with my opponent. I either win or I beat myself." LOL. Modesty! #2 Venus losing in 2008 at Key BIscayne (Kuznetsova, I believe): "well, it's not like she was doing much. I guess she was playing good defense. That was enough to get me moving and win." What a compliment! Of course, Venus was treated during the match. lol. This has happened EVERY single slam loss I have seen from them, other than to eachother of course.. Terrible sports. I don't want my daughter acting that way, that's for sure. Yes, they are very gifted. Are they what Richard said they would be? Hardly. Neither could carry Steffi Graf's water bottle! Tomorrow should be interesting, though. Can Venus tag her sister finally? She has taken some hits from sis.

Nadal and Federer have been very good at Wimbledon this year, like always. Federer was rather shaky before his semifinal dominance though, and i believe that will cost him against a steady Nadal in the final

Thanks, so far, for most of you actually replying to my thread. Yes, . lol
I won't be so bold as to say Nadal will beat the five time champ in 3 but I'm thinking four sets. And hoping for five just because I love watching these two play. I say four sets because he's doing everything that he did last year BETTER. Serving, firstly.... and second, not hitting alot of balls into the service courts and taking control of points right away. He doing all of this convincingly better. And the weather has treated him well which equals fresher legs than last year. I honestly think this match comes down to Nadal this year. Nadal has only looked human once and that was today in the second set, which he won. If he can keep up this level... even Fed will have a hard time keeping pace. No Federer fan, IN THERE RIGHT MIND, would say they aren't worried at this point.
I expect nothing less than epic tennis with both guys deserving the trophy, when it's all said and done, no matter who takes it home.
